A Web Interface to the Real World: How We Made MOO

10:05 - 10:55AM on Wednesday, October 22 in B5-7
In just over 2 years, MOO has grown to a worldwide business shipping fully customized, massively variable print products to over 180 countries worldwide. During that time, we’ve encountered and overcome hurdle after hurdle. Sharing insights from MOO’s development setup, methods, technologies, processes, and experiences, Stefan Magdalinski will outline the fundamental differences between doing a pure-web play and an “API-to-the-world” business. Topics covered will include APIs (both their own and others), manufacturing, integrating physical QA processes, making User Experience look easy, and a mercifully small section on Color Management.

Simple and direct with just enough technical information to make it relevant, thanks Stefan

Interesting and unassuming discussion about the development and direction of moo.com. Very topical judging by the number of Moo cards being passed to each other at the conference.

Fascinating, real life case study about building a real business on top of the web. Well presented and interesting, with lots of enticing details.
